Jenni Conroy

JENNI CONROY – MANAGING DIRECTOR

Jenni has over 25 years’ energy industry experience. Since founding Future Effect, she has been engaged in the provision of strategic and regulatory advice to major players in the Western Australian energy marketplace. Most recently Jenni was engaged to assist in the merger of Synergy and Verve Energy and with the Western Australian Electricity Market Review.

Prior to establishing Future Effect, Jenni was employed by the State’s largest electricity retailer (Synergy) as its manager of regulatory affairs, providing strategic regulatory and commercial advice. She was a specialist advisor to the State’s Wholesale Electricity Market via the Market Advisory Committee (the MAC), and was a founding member of the State’s Renewable Energy Generation Working Group. As part of the State’s 2006 Energy Reform Program, Jenni was retained to manage financial and legal programs of work within the Program Office.

Jenni holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Economics) degree from Murdoch University as well as a Masters of Business Administration (Laws) and Masters of Commercial Law degrees from Deakin University.

David Martin

DAVID MARTIN – DIRECTOR PROJECTS

David has more than 15 years’ experience in Western Australia’s energy industry. David is an expert in development of organisational decision-making and works justification processes; the management of contentious issues and crisis management; and the management of the full range of public relations and stakeholder engagement issues.

Having worked in two of the largest and most complex energy utilities in Western Australia, including more than five years as a senior executive of Horizon Power, David brings a wealth of skill and experience in the areas of electricity utility management; economic regulation, energy policy development, government, regulator and stakeholder relations; energy sector marketing and branding; contentious issues and crisis management.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts (English) degree majoring in Journalism from Curtin University and is a Fellow of Leadership WA.

Kristian Myhre

KRISTIAN MYHRE – DIRECTOR ENERGY MARKETS

Kristian has been working in energy related roles for more than 15 years. Kristian’s major areas of expertise include his in depth knowledge of the Western Australian gas and electricity markets including the regulatory frameworks, market rules and the participants operating in the industry. He is a skilled financial and statistical modeller and has considerable experience in framing strategy in a utility setting and in implementing strategy in large corporations.

Kristian has been a Director on the Retail Energy Market Company Board (REMCO), and was also a sitting member of the Market Advisory Committee (the MAC). He has significant experience assessing and analysing contractual terms and conditions; assessing new business opportunities such as new gas and electricity supply offers; forecasting portfolio electricity load using regression based statistical forecasting tools; and in developing and maintaining management reporting of key business performance indicators for gas and electricity portfolios.

Kristian holds a Masters of Economics (Econometrics) degree from the University of Oslo.

NENAD NINKOV

NENAD NINKOV – ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR COMMERCIAL

Nenad has more than 25 years’ experience in the Transport, Rail and Energy (Electricity and Gas) Industries. He has successfully held a number of high profile and strategically-focused roles across both the public and private sectors and across both the electricity and gas supply industries. These positions have included executive roles within State-owned energy businesses including SECWA and Western Power and most recently as Alinta Energy’s General Manager of Wholesale and Western Australian Operations.

Nenad has actively supported energy market developments both within Western Australia and nationally. He is a past chairman of the Electricity Supply Association of Australia and Australian Gas Association committees responsible for developing industry performance standards and the Australian Electricity Supply Industry Research Board (AESIRB) responsible for the allocation of funding for research in the electricity industry. He is a past panel member of the Western Australia’s Energy Board of Review Panel; the Market Advisory Committee; the Energy Advisory Board; and the Independent Power Association.

Nenad focusses on providing commercial advice to the energy sector, including the identification and development of new business opportunities, engagement with financiers and end-to-end commercial and operational risk assessments. Recent projects undertaken by Nenad have included development of Power Purchase Agreements; preparation of project feasibility studies and the provision of policy advice.

Nenad is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program from Harvard University. He holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Western Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Finance from Churchlands College of Advanced Education and is a fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy.

Vinod Tiwari

Vinod Tiwari – ASSOCIATE consultant

Vinod has over 25 years of experience in operations and senior sales and business development roles within the renewable energy and other engineering industries. He has a successful track record of building and defending market share, expanding product lines, developing renewable portfolio and developing and executing long term strategies to achieve challenging sales targets and influencing key stakeholders at board and senior management levels. Most recently, Vinod was General Manager Sales at Perth Energy (2007 - 2016) with responsibility for all gas and electricity sales. In this role, Vinod successfully grew the energy sales portfolio from $20 million annual turnover to more than $300 million.

Vinod was responsible for setting out strategy and tactical implementation plan for the team ensuring they diligently sought out high-value customers, responded to tenders and ensured commercial terms and conditions of contracts reflected the strategy set by the Perth Energy board. In this role, Vinod was also responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality applied to the onboarding and ongoing customer experience. The success of Vinod and his team’s achievements was brought out in a high retention rate of 95% of and around 20% year on year growth in energy sales.

Previous roles have included managing engineering, technical sales and business development for General Electric Company’s joint venture in India.

Vinod has an extensive network within the Western Australian energy market built through his many years of interacting with industry stakeholder, clients and through participation in various industry bodies. This has included representing Perth Energy as a member of the WA Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Energy Reference Group and its Climate Change Committee.

Vinod holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology (India) and a Master ofBusiness Administration from the University of Western Australia. He participated at the Executive Leadership Program at University of California, Berkley.

Corinna Kirwood

Corinna Kirwood – ASSOCIATE Director Business Improvement

Corinna has over 20 years’ experience in project management, with very strong credentials in the areas of risk management, business process improvement, change management, customer service solutions, supply chain management, procurement, outsourcing, and system specification, evaluation and implementation.Corinna has undertaken a wide range of consulting assignments, including the project management of complex cross business programs. She has worked with some of the largest businesses in Western Australia, including Western Power, Synergy, Shell, Woodside, Rio Tinto, Newmont Mining, Iluka Resources, HBF, RAC, Western Australian Police Service, Curtin University, and Contract and Management Services.

Corinna’s most recent engagements include:

  • Analysis and project management support for Synergy’s Core Systems Improvement (CSI) project. The CSI project is an enabling project to underpin Synergy’s delivery of its Business Efficiency Program (BEP). The engagement encompassed responsibility for preparing the CSI Business Case, undertaking analysis to understand any likely reductions in head count within the Generation Business Unit resulting from the CSI and preparing an outline plan to verify, deliver and measure the anticipated benefits from CSI.
  • Development of a change management strategy for the Insurance Commission of Western Australia’s Business Services Transformation Project.
  • Project management and subject matter expert advice in the development of an overarching Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program strategy for Synergy, following its recent merger and taking into consideration future market reform, business drivers and risk.
  • Undertaking a number of projects for QEP Resources (a large oil and gas firm) based in Denver Colorado. Corinna was employed as the Director Project Management to establish the project management and business analysis services for the newly formed organisation.

Previous roles have included managing engineering, technical sales and business development for General Electric Company’s joint venture in India.

Corinna holds a Bachelor of Commerce (honours) degree and Masters of Business Administration degree. She has also undertaken studies towards her Juris Doctor qualification, including studies in legal process and contract law. Corinna is a member of the Australian Computer Society (ACS) as well as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD)
